High temperatures may cause shrinkages.
The fabrics with a special finish or weave and the knitted products could be washed in the machine or by hand only if it’s stated in the using instructions.
The wool suits, jackets and trousers should be definitely dry cleaned.-Don’t wear them very frequently and for long hours. Let them rest in order to make pull upright. The dust and dirt colleected in the collars and cuffs should be always cleaned by a brush.
Keep the wool products in their own cover after having cleaned them. Use medicines in the places where you keep your wools to prevent moth.-If your wool cloth gets wet don’t put it next to a heater or stove and don’t leave it to direct sun light. Don’t dry your wool cloth in a drying machine. Put it on a flat base to be dried with the room temperature.Don’t wear them in warm weathers because the perspiration acid and the humidity will have a negative effect on the fabrics. Fledging and deformation might happen resulting from the excessive rubbing due to the body shapeof the user. It’s natural that the wool fabric fledges due to the excessive rubbing. Local fledging is normal in tricots. The tricots carrying wool for more tahn 50% will normally fledge in axillas, belly and collars after the use. The rubbing will be lesser if you follow the cleaning instructions of the tricot, pay attention to the temperature of the water while washing and rest it properly. The plackets of the trousers and the inner pockets of the jackets might be damaged due to the use. Some tears emanate from misusage. The reasons are listed below:
The permanent use of the trouser pockets due to the personal habits.
To carry permanently a sizeable wallet in the hip pocket of the trouser or iner pocket of the jacket.
The cotton products are resistant to the washing but may result in shrinkage in case of excessive washing.
The painted and imprinted cottons should be washed separately in the first usage. Since cotton is a natural fiber it may lose some color after the first washing. It’s impossible to avoid this since the use of the paints which cause cancer are forbidden in the developed countries.
The fruit and juice stains should be intervened by cold water before the stain penetrates deeply.
The cotton clothes especially the shirts shouldn’t be ironed with high temperatures to smooth the wrinkles when they are moist. The temperature should be lowe while ironing the polyester-cotton fabrics.
The clothes should be kept dry and clean.
Check the label to know if the dry cleaning or washing is advised.
The washable linens may easily be washed in the machine or by hand.
White linens should be dried by sun to protect the whiteness.
We advise to iron the linens while they are slightly moist.
Linen fabrics need frequent iron. Those that don’t need iron are the linen fabrics with polyester. Be careful about it while washing and ironing.
Silk GroupDry cleaning is advised fort he protection. Some silk products that are classified as washable should be washed delicately with liquid detergent. Be careful while washing because the water may easily cause stains in silk. They should always be ironed with an iron of low temperature without steam.Keep the clothes absolutely clean and in case of unmoved stains ask for the help of an expert.Especially the dark colored silks are sensitive to the sunlight.
They might be washed depending on the production procedure and texture of the fabric.
Iron them while they are moist at a medium temperature by the reverse. If you do the opposite then use a moist fabric. The dry fabrics should be ironed at lower temperatures.
Technical Concepts Expressing The Salvatini Quality
S CONCEPT
The thickness of wool and fiber is defined as micron.
1 micron = 1/1000mm
The single and double layer yarns are spun by the fibers. These yarn numbers are called Nm (metric number). The yarn quality depends on the fiber quantity and this changes according Nm. As the fiber micron becomes smaller the “s”s are rising.
The 150S, 160S, 180S seen on the fabrics Express the thickness of the fiber. Hence the fiber of the 180S is thinner than the fiber of a fabric of 160S.
In wool fabrics as the “S” increases the fiber become thinner and the fabric looks more slippery, bright and fine.
